Help With A Personal Loan

Hi everyone,

I'd like to apply for a personal loan. I'm "living with parents" to use the term on the forms, and self-employed. I'm wondering if I should apply to Barclays (my bank for 15 years) or go directly to one of the companies that specialise on people in my circumstances.

Where would I be more likely to be approved? And would getting turned down by Barclays reduce my chances elsewhere?

Thanks in advance for your time!

I would think about applying to your bank first. They will have a track record of your account and they will most likely offer a better rate if you are successful. Going to a "specialised "company means they will load your rate.

The bank will show do a credit search and on your credit reference it will show as a bank search but it should not effect it. Your credit score/reference will change if you have a lot of searches done in a short period of time
