Help: Recommend Free Accounting Software for sme Letting & Property Mgt Company?

Hey there,

I wonder if anyone out there can send some wisdom my way and recommend free accounting software that would suit Letting/Property Management organisation.

We are a recent start up and have absolutely no problem in paying for software, however for the stage we are at at the moment, we don't need anything too fancy just yet, really just the basics!

Neither of us have a background in accounts, so something that is simple to understand and easy to manoeuvre our way around would be great.

Thanks in advance, really glad to have found this forum!

Thanks Alison

You could try VT cashbook - its a very simple but good package. Lots of our clients use it. :)

Stop your "narrow minded thinking"....Pay for it now so you have the software to give you what you need for future development".

Why stop and start - what a waste of time!

I'd actually recommend throwing some money at this particular problem and trying an established accounting package such as www.kashflow.com.

For the record I am a friend of KashFlow's founder Duane, but despite his flaws I still love his software :)

I agree about Kashflow. It's saved me no end of time, it's a good product for a small business, support is excellent and at £15 - ish per month you can't go wrong.

There's the added bonus that you will not have to change over to a fully functional product later.

Hope this helps.
