OK, I have another question about domain and email registration. Forgive me if these questions seem really basic but all of this tecky stuff is completely new (and foreign) to me.

If I purchase my domain and email from 123.reg, can I definitely use them if I host my website with another company? I want to be absolutely sure that I don't loose my domain name and I don't want to be stuck with hosting my site through 123.reg. From what I have read they seem to be crap at hosting.

Also, I am assuming I can use the email address without having a website???

Any advice on all of this stuff is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Sometimes you may need 123-reg to fix things i.e. name servers might not update correctly, billing issues etc.

We did use them for .uk registrations a while back but it got to the point where every single new domain didn't register properly backend system problems their end and support was taking an average of 3 weeks to respond to tickets. So we got our own nominet tag far easier :)
