HELP - on commission only process?!?

Hi

Just a quick question.

If I wanted to take on a self employed, home based, commission only telesales agent, Im based in the North of England and they are based in the South of England.

What would be the best thing to do in giving him the details of my business' so he can sell the service without the agent stealing my idea.

Is there anybody out there who has taken on these kinds of people and what information did you send to them so they could start selling on the phones for you??

My business is a service for UK business', (employee satisfaction surveys with full reporting) so I was thinking he would need, the benefits of using our surveys, what the surveys can do for businesses, price, order form, USP.

Can anybody give me some advise on what else they would need without telling them about the whole of my business. please, im stuck!!

To be effective the telesales person would need to know your company, product/service.

You could use one for just generating vague inquiries, but your return from them would be low since each time they are asked a few questions their answers will be vague, and I doubt that would go down well with prospective clients.

If I was looking at you as a telesales ageny I would pass, since you obviously have trust issues with working with them, the job would be hard enough anyway. The same will apply whether they are employed or self employed.

The old saying goes:

"If you dont want a rotten apple, dont take one from the barrell, pick one off the tree"

Have you considered placing an advert in your local paper stating the necessary minimum requirements but adding that you will give full training.

The great bonus is that you will hopefully find someone with enthusiasm and drive and by training them yourself, they won't have picked up any bad habits along the way.

Hope this is food for thought.

Kind regards
