Help me with a Name for business pls.

Hi All,

I'm registering a business and wondering what name I can keep....

The business is to provide Lead Generation, Appointment setting, Data Cleaning and Capture and all telemarketing mainly for B2B and B2C for clients who request for it.

I have 7 years of experience in this line as an employee in the senior management level looking to start on my own, its going to be done in India with employees who have good english language communication and have finished a course in the local British Council in India.

I'm also looking to tie up with the British council to provide training for graduates in India to join my company and also tie up with UK universities for people who want to come to India and work for Indian salaries to gain experience about call centres and enjoy their stay in India.

Hope this info will help kindly suggest some names for this business.

I have some names in Mind which goes with my name as well in it....

Dan Joe Telemarketing (P) Ltd.
Dan Telemarketing (p) Ltd.

My name is Daniel Joseph.....

Let me know what you can think of...

Cheers

Hi Dan,
Think of something exciting that you could call it rather than your name...

Are you limited to UK clients only? If so try an english name or an indian word that has relevance in the UK or something along those lines?

I suggested names to the Indian Company house and the names are,
"Lead You Need"
"Leads For your Business"
Lead Your Business"

When I applied they said that these names are vague and the names need a prefix, when I enquired they said you need to have some good prefix only then they will approve a name...

Do you understand anything from this.

Dan Data (p) Ltd looks good...

Thanks for that Ikelmiracle

IMO Id try and steer clear of novelty names - You need something that is going to promote confidence in your company.

There are quite a few companies that do this, so you need to stand out head & shoulders above the competition...

Also - a word of caution - get people to PM you the ideas - there are quite a few unscrupulous people about that may go and register these names just to try and sell them back to you... it does happen!

By prefixes I think they meant 'words that suggest what you do' - It may be the case that companies house india do not have a business classification for 'leads'......therefore "Nandan Data" was accepted because they may have had a classification for data.

therefore 'Dan Data Ltd' may be accepted.

btw slightly off topic but great website iklemiracle

Is there a reason to have the company main name registered in India,

I would have thought that a UK limited company would be far easier to market in the UK and you could then use any name for a company in India and just tell people its a subsidary of uk.ltd

I know it's more expensive but UK companies house are much more relaxed about names than India and allow far greater freedom

My Auditor just told me that prefix ix nothing but promoters name in front anyother preffered names will be too expensive for a small start up business. What you suggested is on my list I need 3 names that needs to be submitted and one of them will be chosen and given to me.

Thanks for the Idea chris to register a company in the UK its expensive as you said however I will need directors from the UK as well to be a private ltd and an investor as well, Do you think that is possible.

    Hi Danny

Im always trying out new ideas and coming up with different names, so much so that whenever i come up with a new business venture i get sixk of thinking about a new name for the business.

From my experience i would try the following:

Why not think about where you want to take your company, how you want other people to feel and think about your company.

When you get some words in your head of how your company could be talked about or thought of, play around with them.

I dont really understand what your company is exactly but form your explanation i would throw in:

    InterGen Telemarketing (International Generation)

    Cheers

Thanks Danny for the inputs and Chris I can tie up with the sales person in the UK. Can I approach another telemarketing company to tie up with me is that possible how does it work, do they need to invest in the business as well.

    Cheers
