Help forum, blog!!??

Hi

Please could someone give me some advice on how to start an online help service where people could ask me questions and I could answer them.

I repair white goods, washing machines and the like and I get called out to some really ridiculous situations. Things like people not closing the machine door properly or even the power not being on.

I have an adwords campaign and a bit of other internet presence which gets a reasonable amount of traffic so feel that people would try this before requesting a call.

I know it may sound like not taking all opportunities to some but I get enough work to keep me going 7 days a week at the moment and a bit more too. I guess, if it could get rid of some of the less important calls, then I'd feel it would be a success.

It depends how you would want it to operate. Do you want a live chat system, a website where they can leave you an email, leave a forum post or maybe like a support ticket service?

I think that something I could use that could be cleared every evening when I finished.

A live chat system might not be great idea if it where to be left with a lot of unanswered questions for prolonged periods. I suppose, if I were able to answer using a smartphone/ iphone then that would make it more a possibility.

Sorry, I'm not that up-to-speed with websites.....

In that case I think the best solution would be a website with a contact form that emails you their questions. You just log into your email and respond from there.

Wordpress + One of the many contact form plugins and Bob's your mother's brother.

You should design your website first, add the code that people can see where to leave you an email or leave their comments.
