Help export to US

Hello - need some advice if available on exporting to the US

The company i work for has a UK based customer who would like one of our machines to be manufactured in the UK and exported to the US

We currently conform to UK regs for gas and electric so presume this will be need to be adapted for US requirements. We could handle this in-house most probably.

Can anyone put me in touch with someone who can advise on which boxes need to be ticked in order to enable us to export successfully (shipping provider has already been arranged)

Well I think a lot is going to depend on the product you are manufacturing and will need expert clarification from the US on what you actually need to conform too. Has your purchaser not specified in the contract the requirements to allow export to US?

I'm looking for the steps we need to take to enable to us to export the machine.

As i understand it, someone from the US needs to come over to assess the equipment prior to export. As it stands, i'm not sure who i need to contact to arrange for this visit!!
