i'm currently in the process of moving from drop shipping to buying in bulk and fulfilling my own orders for my eCommerce business.

I've contacted several courier services and have a few meetings lined up within the next few weeks.

Is there anything i should be aware of going into these meetings ( terms i should negotiate for example)? Is there any flexibility in negotiating the price (currently moving around 100 10kg units a month)?

Thanks!

Make sure your products are covered by their compensation as they exclude lots of items.
There prices do not include VAT (an issue if your not VAT registered) and they also add a fuel surcharge to the cost.
UPS charge a domestic delivery charge ontop which i think is £2 so be aware if your customer are none businesses.
Get full contact details of who to contact at your local depot when something goes wrong (which it will).
Most charge extra to deliver to the top of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Isle Man and Isle of wright.
Yes they do reduce there prices by quite a lot, which they will increase each year so be prepared to move.
Sorry i cant tell you how much you should be able to get the rates as we now hardly send anything via couriers and almost completely use Royal Mail as we find them to be by far the most reliable service, luckily or parcels tend to be under 2 kg so pricing is ok.

+1 for APC. Used over 15 to 20 times in the past year for overnight delivery of live coral. Parcels are quite large, yet always arrive undamaged and on time.

Whereas, I've had very poor experiences with Yodel and DHL. DHL had a 10 day delay of a single jewellry item (within the UK) due to "motorway traffic". The bracelet never arrived in time for my girlfriend's birthday.

Best of luck!
