Hi I am a keen valeter and in the planning stages of starting up my own mobile business, but where I lack is marketing and gaining business quick i recently read an old statement by someone who claimed to know what they were doing claiming within 2 weeks could have enough business to be in full time work

My question is how much would you professional marketing people charge to get me initial business up and running in a similar time scale

I'd be confident that I could formulate a marketing plan to get a decent valeter full time work within a few weeks if that was the target.

I'd also be confident enough to execute the plan afterwards for a purely results based fee if required.

It may well have been a comment of mine that you saw originally. It does sound like me.

I wouldn't take this on, as I'm confident speaking to people in a car park with your portfolio would do more for your money than I can.

I wouldn't pay for that kind of advice (sorry if I've stepped on anyones toes) I agree that 2 weeks should be plenty of time (depending on your location). Target the market - Office blocks are full of people happy to have their pride and joy valeted every month. Tell them you'll drop by on the 4th, all they need to do it email you their reg number, leave the keys and payment at reception.

If it's a big block then try to get in contact with "Building Services" first, it's easier to get through to them and they are much more susceptible to a 5% bribe.
