Hi all,

I have been browsing these pages occasionaly to get information on marketing and various business tips, and also get away from the Donald Trump media circus! Anyway finally decided to register so that I can contact some people and make a few contacts.

I own feedbackwise.com which is a customer feedback platform which we are working to make a trusted place for genuine customer reviews.

Welcome to the forum. I have found one major issue with the review site model is it's mostly only the disgruntled customers that make the effort to post reviews, how do you tackle that?
That is very true, a lot of people generally have to be at an extreme of satisfaction to make the effort to give feedback, but on the flip side of this, if customers are disatisfied, getting that information and dealing with it is vital, nobody can be perfect and I don't think people really expect perfection (more likely sceptical of it). The system allows members to post replies to feedback to open a dialogue to overcome problems, and some of the most loyal customers can be won in this manner. Also, feedback must be left in line with our feedback requirements, which does have some specific guides on poor feedback, eg the company must be given ample opportunity to resolve poor performance.
And failiing all of that, there is a dispute resolution process, whereby companies can dispute feedback and give authors opportunity to cancel or ammend feedback, and if necessary raise feedback for review, and if it is not in line with the requirements, it will be taken down.
If a company is recieving lot's of negative feedback, then that should be ringing alarm bells, in this situation, you can set your feedback profile to hidden, and use the feedback internally to work on the issues until improvements are acheived, then put the profile back to live.
Hope this helps ;0)
