    Hi all,

    Just realised I've been posting away here merrily but haven't bothered introducing myself :oops:

    I'm Amber, as you may have guessed, and I run a new online agency for writers. Basically we have a database of freelancers who specialise in all kinds of writing (ghostwriting, copywriting etc) as well as proofreading, editing and translation, and we match them up with clients looking for editorial services.

    My own background is in journalism and PR, and I'm also co-owner of a website design/PR firm, so I'm pretty busy, so say the least! Looking forward to getting to know you all!

    Hi Amber,

    I recognise your name from the BusinessBuzz.org (Scottish Business networking) website - welcome. :) - Will hopefully be getting in touch with you soon re some copywriting and article writing for a new project I am working on (if you are not too busy!). You have a great site and I am sure will have plenty of interest to contribute here.

    .... just in case it's needed anytime, we advise writers, illustrators, designers and other creatives on protecting their work.

    In one case, we successfully obtained £24,000 for a medical illustrator in a copyright ownership dispute with a customer.

    Please do sign up! The site is very, very new at the moment though, so it's probably going take us a few weeks at least to have a steady stream of work to offer people - we're working on it! I'm also desperately trying to get people to join the discussion forum, so have a look at that, too, if you'e bored! (link on the front page of WritingWorld)

    Your site looks really interesting; I was particularly interested in your market research service - that's something which a lot of our clients would probably find useful (at Hot Igloo, our other business, that is) and I'm more of a PR bod than a marketing one, so I will definitely keep you in mind!
