Hi everyone, i am Sean. I have just signed up here as i was looking for somewhere to get advice and help with setting up my first business as im not sure about what needs to be done to make things all legal and registered for tax, etc.. This looks a great forum with alot of posts and content on it so hopefully i get some help here.

Thanks for he link / info. Having a read at that, i think i would be a sole trader.

I am just the owner of a website that sells t-shirts, printed goods, etc.. It is drop shipping so i dont have a premises or staff or anything, just work on the website from home and then place the orders and the drop shipping company take care of the posting the items and i deal with taking the money then paying the dropshippers,and other expenses.

I need to learn tho about what legal responsibilities i need to take care of and when and how to pay tax, etc..

Regarding the legal responsibilities that you wonder about. Have you registered for self assessment? What is your turnover? If it's more than £85,000, then you have to register for VAT.

I have dealt with many different dropshipping/shopify companies before.

If you have any questions regarding setting up as a sole trader etc feel free to send me over a PM. I will be able to advise you want sort of records you need to keep etc.

No no registered / submitted anything yet. Not sure of all the things that initially need submitted / sent away to start up / create the company.
