Hello everyone,

My name is Gaia and my business provides detailed advice to people who want to start or improve their digital product or online service, plus web design support to create modern sales pages.
I'm also the author of The Plan, a new digital book on how to start your online business without getting overwhelmed.

I'm glad to be here! I'm looking forward to learn more and to contribute to posts in this forum.

I'm actively looking for people who need help with creating their online product or service, testing their market, positioning and choosing the right price, advertising the right niche and so on.

I look forward to get in touch with you all!

Thank you!

I spent the last 3 years studying and testing everything there is to know about online business, and I noticed that I was giving a lot of free advice to friends and family.

I was already a business coach before I even noticed it! So few months ago I decided to create a proper online business coaching service: I want to help others avoid doing the same errors I did in the beginning!

May I ask you if you are facing any problem with your online business, and in case which one?
I visited your website, it looks nice and very easy to use but wondering if you need more advertising? I'm here to help!

Feel free to PM me, I also offer a free email session if you're interested.

Hello, do you know much in the way of ebay power selling, wholesale sourcing?. Is it superior to set up an Ecommerce webpage if you do not have a registered company? There are only 1 or 2 competitors in the UK, in the field i am currently operating in, though the profit margins are very slim on ebay hence the move, perhaps to a webpage.

Hello Therob0,

if you have so few competitors in your market, and you already know there's an audience for your product, well setting up your own website is definitely a very good idea !

Ebay can be good to find a lot of clients, but people that are on Ebay are used to spend less especially if you are not a top-rated seller, and at the end you will be charged in any case for delivery costs and other fees.

If you set up your one website and use a good dropshipper to stock your products and ship them to your clients only once they've paid for them, you can have a higher profit and you can also set a higher value and price for your product, since you own your website.
Some dropshippers charge a fee of $30-$150 (this really depends on the dropshipper itself) but your profit margin can be very good if you have a nice website and a good ad campaign.
Of course you have the advertising costs but Ebay charges for that as well.

Regarding the registered company, you don't need to be a company to sell on the web!
You can start selling as a sole trader (with no costs), and when the revenues increase you can convert your sole trader business to a company.
As payment system, you can use Paypal or Stripe: they will charge you about 2-3% per sale, much less than Ebay!

By the way creating an e-commerce website from scratch could be tricky, if you want to start with a framework that lets you create your website very quickly try squarespace.com, that seems to work well with e-commerce.
If you want to start with a full service that lets you set up everything, from website to payment system, have a look at shopify.com or, if you sell your own product, etsy.com: they will host your website but they will charge you a fee for each sale.

I would be glad to help you doing this switch and setting up the new business.

If you're interested in having a free email coaching session, feel free to PM me or visit digitalighthousecoaching.com.

I'm also selling a digital book that gives advice on how to sell a physical product online !
It's called "The Plan" and you can find more at: theplanontheweb.com

Have a look for @WebsiteAngel on Twitter - she is doing something similar to you and has a similar background too. May be a good person to chat to?
Hello Hazel, thank you for your message, it's always good to get in touch with other coaches so I checked her Twitter profile and I'm now a follower ;-)

By the way my coaching is a little bit different from the one you told me: I'm mostly focused to help people who want to start their digital or physical product, or online service by giving detailed advice on all the problems they probably will face, and in doing that I follow the steps suggested in The Plan, my ebook on how to start your online business without getting overwhelmed.

This way I can assure my clients to have a day-to-day support with a goal-oriented plan, so that they can learn how to put in practice only what really works for their niche market - instead of just doing the work on behalf of them.

This is the reason why I offer a monthly coaching package with UNLIMITED EMAIL COACHING and a PERSONALISED ACTION PLAN that gets results from the first month :)
