Hi,
I stumbled across this forum whilst trying to find out information on tax credits for self employed people.
I've been unemployed for nearly 3 years now and despite retraining as an electrician and a FETA accredited field service engineer have been unable to find employment. Guess at 56 I'm considered too old! No option but to start my own business which is what I'm about to do.
I'm based up in north Northumberland and will operate as a sole trader selling/leasing and maintaining fire protection equipment.
I've never worked for myself before so this is all very new to me and hopefully this forum will provide a much needed education.
