Heating solutions for large spaces!

Hi everyone! This is a bit of a weird question and I'm not sure it even belongs on this forum. That being said, I couldn't really think of where else to ask it!

I teach fire manipulation, mostly in group workshops around the UK. This includes things like fire eating etc. Because of the nature of it, I often end up in venues that are open spaces, such as empty warehouses etc.

Despite working with fire, my workshops in Sheffield this last weekend were starting to get a bit chilly! I want to keep my students (and myself) comfortable moving forward so I'm looking at some solutions for heating these large spaces.

Does anyone have any ideas on portable ways to heat these large spaces? I was considering Infrared panels on stands to help warm the students while they are seated and another couple pointed at the training space. I have very little experience outside of sitting in front of one that was used to heat bananas back when I was buying fruit and veg on a frosty morning!

Fan heaters are a difficult one as the reason I use indoor venues is because any movement of air REALLY messes with the fire and makes a lot of what we do very difficult, a fan heater could potentially be used if it was a sufficient distance away but I'd like to try and avoid them altogether where possible.

Any ideas or solutions would be much appreciated!

Funny enough I was looking at this with my son last week couple of links we were looking at below. Radiant heating seems like quite a good option especially if large industrial type unit and perhaps easier to install we were thinking. Will be interesting to see what others think or possibly use

How about a diesel space heater like the type used to heat marquees?

    https://www.arcotherm.co.uk/

With rising fuel prices unlikely a good choice to use diesel. I lived on a farm with a large building (officially listed as a tractor shed for planning) used as a mechanics workshop over the winter months (breeze block walls tin roof) the only time we got that warm for a sensible cost was when we converted a heater to run on old sump oil, but it stank

This would be a commercial equivalent https://www.flexiheatuk.com/product/waste-oil-heater-multi-oil-heater/ only worthwhile if you have a local source of used oil currently having to pay for removal

The neatest solution I ever saw was an upsidedown chimney. Hot air rises which means there is always warmer air at the top of a building. The setup I saw had a simple wooden chimney about 2 feet square reaching to the apex of a ceiling. A fan sucked the warm air down.
