Hi there

We are about to launch a website which allows users to play Fifa for real money ie £1 per game so the winner takes £2.00.

We need a law company to a provide a legal opinion stating why games are not considered gambling for Pay Pal.

Please see the points below

In order to comply with our Acceptable Use Policy and avoid the limitation of your account, you will need to:
- Provide fully functional URL with all the offers/games available.
- Provide an independent legal opinion stating why the games available on http://url/ are not considered gambling activities in the jurisdictions they are offered. Please note that this document must be letter headed.
- Inform us about the methods you employ to block users from jurisdictions where playing non-gambling related games for money is prohibited.
- Provide a list of countries in which you are operating your website/s or where you are planning to do so. Alternatively you can provide us with a list of countries that can access your website/s.

**We have just spoke to the gambling commissions and they said we wouldn't need a gambling license due to it being a game of skill rather than chance and to seek legal advice**

Thanks

Hi,
Very interesting idea, Did you need to get permission from EA to use their game like that?

I´d call the gambling commission again and ask for a recommendation, they might even be able to provide you with the document you need.

Yes you do need permission from EA and we have spoke to them and all we need now is a legal letter for our paypal account not for the gambling commission. Any legal company can write the letter as its only for Paypal. We need to jump threw a few hoops before hand...
