Having more than one business bank account in UK

Is it possible to have more than one business bank account for one company in the UK?

I have to have a separate bank account to receive some payments

But natwest said they couldn't open a business bank account for me if i had one already with another bank

Are there banks in the UK that allow someone to have a second business bank account?

Why not, one business can have multiple bank accounts with multi currency e.g $ a/c and it does not have to be with same bank either. Did you speak to your existing bank to have another account in different currency?

no i just need a GBP account.

anyone know of any banks that can offer a second bank account?

Maybe my existing bank could open up a second one to sit side by side my other one? Is that normal or weird?
