I got the free download last year and there’s an awful lot of guff to wade through and very little of substance. Lots of words that could be compressed into a much shorter book.

And it misses out on a lot of the recent changes in SE behaviour.

Get the free download and I doubt you will manage many of the 600+ pages

I'm thinking about getting it but before I shell out £40 for it I was wondering if anyone else had read it and whether they think it is worth the expense?
I've read it but a very long time ago, it was ok but seemed mostly common sense. But then that was so long ago that things have changed massively. I'd only buy it now if it's been totally updated.

They have added new stuff but the old outdated material is still there. For a noob they wouldn’t know which bits (about 500 pages) to ignore.

    Start with the UKBF guides:

    Then Google's own pages:

    Then sites like these:

There are many more. It all depends of what type of SEO you are doing.

Some people follow moz or banklinko but I'm not keen.

A google search for SEO news will deliver a lot of options.

SEO takes a lot of reading and research!
