Do you mean tablet PC, or a graphics Tablet?

I'd like to know how you can check your emails and go on the internet using a graphics tablet. Seems pretty impressive.

I wouldn't trust any cheap tablets. You really think that something from china for £99 on ebay is even going mee your needs?

Best thing i can suggest is go second hand. try getting an ipad 1st gen or samsung galaxy tab (which is very good btw) of off ebay.

Don't do it!

In a moment of madness I bought a cheap chinese tablet for around £80 thinking the same as you. It was an absolute piece of garbage.

Go second hand and pick up an iPad for around £300. There are also some excellent tablets from other manufacturers, but they seem to be more expensive.

My question is if the cheap versions are usable but a bit crap, or literally no use at all? i.e. if you were stuck somewhere with free WiFi and no other option, could you come to get accustomed to using it?

I've been looking 2nd-hand, I really am not seeing any good deals. iPad 1 are selling only about £30 less than in the shops, virtually no cheaper than iPad2, which is a bit annoying.

Although I guess I am tempted to get one for the two weeks I'm on holiday then sell it when I return.

At time of writing this the Trust Stylus Design Tablet 15356 can be bought from Amazon.co.uk for just £17.99, saving a massive 55% off.
The Trust Stylus Design Tablet 15356 is a small but cheap graphics tablet when compared with the many we see on the market today.

It depends on how much cash you have to spend i guess, i'm sure I could have got used to the poor battery, poor wifi, near unusable touchscreen display, poor resolution etc. Luckily I was able to bin it and get a real tablet.

If you can afford to get cheap piece of crap for £100, why not get a real one that you'll use a lot more for £300? Buying cheap is a false economy.

Was looking at those recently and a lot of them are absolute pap. Some are ok. Basically all seem to run android, but a lot run android version 1.6 - avoid these. A lot run version 2.1, which is what my smartphone uses and would be fine for a bit of email and web. They wont link to android marketplace and as far as i can tell cant be upgraded, this appears to be a licencing issue.

CPC have a load of these devices going fairly cheap at the moment if you have an account with them.

Having said all of the above, I went with an ipad in the end, one off payment of £99 and montly data/contract of £25. Suits me for now. I really love the instant on, to me thats the biggest plus point.

The new androids running 3.0 look very nice and should address some of the "shortcomings" of the ipad.
