GVMT underwriting loans er no we are ouch

So heres another scheme the Govt. are selling us that they are doing all they can to help get the banks lending. So the Govt. backs a loan the Banks would normally reject, and if the business defaults who pays the loan back, yes you guessed it the taxpayer.
any thoughts UKBF

Great scheme. I've already bought shares in paper companies for all the money the Govt. is going to be printing to pay for all this shenanigans. And in Scotland they are going to guarantee your mortgage so you have a couple of years to get a DHSS rental income from some old slum before scarpering. Never thought I'd call a man Darling, but hey..excellent chap.
Positive thinking. What made Britain, ahem, great?

The Government can't win can they. UK banks go bust so they are bailed out by the Government and people complain. The banks play it more carefully with their lending so people complain. The Government try to encourage the banks to lend to small businesses by offering guarantees and guess what - people complain.

I think I've spotted a common theme here

Is the common theme Government incompetence or us impertinent serfs daring to complain?
