Just wondering whether or not google gives less weight to sites that link to each other if they are all registered with the same google Webmaster account.
There are many factors that Google takes into account- I believe a figure of 2,800 was quoted a year or so ago. There are many valid reasons why this situation may occur. From a common sense point of view (because Google makes it easy to add sites to a single account) I can only see that Google would see fit penalise other sites if one of them was indulging in paid links or other frowned upon practises.
