Google Shopping

Hello everyone,

I've been a silent visitor on the forums for quite a while and very recently decided to register after reading all the flowing reports and purchasing Rays SEO course.

I've worked in digital marketing for a number of years and last year setup an e-commerce brand (retail) for my better half. We stock branded branded products for kids and babies (competitive market I know). We're realistic about scale and growth and were both comfortable working to a 3/4 year business plan to sustained profitability (fingers crossed).

I've been testing some of our paid advertising channels over the last few months and I'm keen to make sure our Google shopping foundations are in place. I have a paid feed set-up and I've optimized product descriptions etc but I wondered if anyone out there had any experience in tapping into UK Upwork for a Google shopping expert?...

I'm looking for someone trustworthy and experienced to go in and set up the right shopping structures based on our brands so I can then invest, knowing that our structure is right. There is literally a thousand and one opinions on how to segment and structure a Google shopping account, not to mention smart shopping etc.

I'm loathed to hire a digital agency because of the obvious costs and I don't need anyone to run the campaigns for me, just make sure the foundations & structures are right.

I know you get what you pay for, but If anyone has had success using contractors from Upwork or Fiverr in this space I'd be very grateful for a recommendation.

Cheers
Michael

Thanks Solve I really appreciate the referral and recommendation but I'm hoping to find someone for just a few days work.
David has setup campaigns for our customers before for their own management, and then dipped in and out when needed.

It's not ideal as Google should be managed properly but it's worth a phone call.

Good luck

It depends on the complexity of your market and the number of products to put into shopping...

The setup is probably only a few days work, maximum, even if complex. However, because Google pulls the data from the product title, description and sku, if you don't do that bit well it can waste lots of money.

If it's a high spending/competitive market, then you really need to stop things that don't work and bid these down. That takes monitoring/analysis over time, and as you don't have keywords to target in Google Shopping, you need to add those as negative keywords and maybe even setup multiple waterfall style campaigns to control bidding properly.

The launch setup is only the start, the key to profitability is analysis and testing over time as you get data and sales insights.
