I've not seen this discussed previously so here goes...

Google has Webmaster Tools (Search Console) - most people know about this for getting their keyword click data, impression data, and so on.

However, not everyone is likely familiar with Google Postmaster Tools:

If you send much email for marketing, you may run into times when Gmail doesn't deliver your messages because of the high volume or questionable content (their idea of questionable is questionable in itself, but that's another matter).

To improve your deliverability, go through the steps, get your domain verified and then you can see cool stats about your emails going into their system, and improve your rate of inboxing.

It only takes a few minutes and could make a difference, even for B2B - since Google Apps businesses often receive their email via Gmail...

I use mail tester, never heard of Google postmaster tools.

Hadn't seen mail-tester before, gofigure - always good to hear what tools others are using!

For validating the emails we acquire, prior to first mailing, we use http://verify-email.org

The cost is relatively trivial to test 10,000 per month.
