Google Position

Can your position on google be different depending on which computer you use.

I recently did a lot of seo and whilst away on business using a laptop the site had hit no. 1 position. The main page had also changed to my new design.

On arriving back home the site is not no. 1 on my home pc. However google is still showing the old main page and does not appear to have updated yet

Both of you are correct. Google uses hundreds of servers. depending if you are borowsing from .com or .co.uk also personal search.

a tip would be to include as many words as you can in meta tags on your page and also include the content within the body aswell repeating the words you want to be asosiated with a google search.

Well to promote your site to # 1 you need to do lots of stuff. You have to concern SEO experts first to have some knowledge sharing from them. I think that is a very good way to understand what strategies one should adopt to promote his site..
