I'm working on a website but having submitted 24 pages to Google, they have indexed 19 of them. However, if I type in a search term I know should appear well in Google for a specific page, I only ever see results for my index page.

Any ideas?

How do you know they should appear well?

It can takes months for a page to get indexed and start ranking naturally.

Try and add more content to your pages and create some backlinks towards deeper pages on your site not just the home page.

Can you explain what exactly that means?

Yeah sure I mean write an article, press release or guest blog post and add one backlink going to your homepage or root e.g. domain.com with domain.com as anchor text and another to an inner page i.e. domain.com/yourproduct.html with "your product" as anchor text (both links in the same article). Do you know what anchor text is? If not, let me know and I'll explain.

Nah indexing shouldn't take months.

go to google search bar and type the following ---> site:yourdomainname.co.uk

make sure the : and the domain name of the web site have no spaces in between. Also do not include WWW just the domain name. You will then be able to see which pages are currently indexed by google. Do not panic if you submitted 22 and you got 19 so far. Crawling takes time.

You don't have any problems with Google and inner pages

    for instance
We have found 2 Indian takeaways in Wadebridge.
finds an inner page and it gets at position 1.

We can't wander into site review territory here on the free forum, but basically, you haven't got very much text content on each page (actually close to zero).
