Google Analytics - Trump Spam. Check your Language (fix included)

As seen here in most of my client sites (and mine as well)

Note: The 'g' in Secret.google.com is cleverly configured to be a capital G and some guy over in Russia has been loving the attention he's created by spamming people's websites.

Check in Audience > Geo > Language to see if you have been affected.

Am seeing .xyz and other similar referrer spam that's getting blocked via global filters one at a time. Pity there isn't a plugin that auto-updates and blocks these automagically, like spam filters...

Can you explain a little more? I looked for Trump spam posts so I didn't duplicate if that's what you mean?

Referrer spam for me makes Google Analytics fairly useless on low volume sites. I find Piwik a lot more use and hardly impacted.

No, your post was the fresh/first on this topic as far as I know. I was referring to me double-posting responses by hitting the post button twice (when it appears not to post the first time). I get those echo posts all the time.

You can always implement an 'include' filter based on hostname to prevent referrer spam reaching GA results. It's simpler than having to regularly update 'exclude' filters for the latest ghost referrers.

I have seen increase in huge spam using abc.xyz (website of Alphabet Inc.) and Reddit as well in all websites I have access.
