Google Alerts?

Hi all, you may have seen my recent thread about blogs!

I have started using google alerts, added a few things relevent to what im looking for but it seems that all the links i get sent containing articles are from american sites?

Surely it would be more beneficial for me and readers of my articles to be from the UK??

if so does anyone know how to set it to 'uk' only??

just had a look at this, cant see how to make it UK - I thought I read that you could subscribe to alerts for different sources for example blogs only? maybe this is within the advanced versions...

Just add UK to the end of the term you want alerts about.

I've just subscribed to a google alert for blogs connected to my trade and have just viewed a blog post. There are comments invited in the usual way and to sign off your comments, theres a box in which to insert a web address. So, if I insert my website address, will this then be a link to my site and will that be deemed ok by the blogger - I dont really understand how all this blog stuff works to be honest!
