Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help regarding google adwords. I have a site but not getting the traffic I need.

I want to sell as much before Christmas as I can so now looking at google adwords.

If anyone can help with free advice then pm me.

There are hundreds of threads on here offering detailed advice on AdWords, just use the search function.

Failing that most of my posts are related to AdWords specifically, so take some time to review them.

If you are considering starting with AdWords with the intention of targeting the Christmas market then unfortunately you have left it too late.

If you're quick, you can still catch the tail of the Christmas traffic.

I'd suggest setting up a quick Adwords campaign using [exact match] keywords.

Have a think and do some keyword research, you want stuff that is relevant, and stuff that will convert. It's not rocket science, but can be expensive if you do it wrong.

There is something called Google Adwords Express, which works well, if you are a traditional bricks and mortar business. A good useful tool to get seen and get clicks.

One thing to also remember is, Adwords can get a bit costly if your selling a low value item.

Sometimes you need to spend a lot to get a little back, just like posting out marketing leaflets if you sent out 100,000 leaflets what would be the return from your campaign..? would it pay back if your items or service was of low value, if only 1 - 2 % of the customers it reached Acted on it.

I would advise that before you drive traffic make sure your website converts first. Why not invite your friends to order from your website to test it out? Some of the most successful sites in the world have started this way. If you can provide a great service for your friends they will recommend it to their friends too. You might not even need Google Adwords!
