Google +1

Evening all

If this Google +1 is going to be so good for our ranking, why dont we all Google +1 eachother whoever would like to do this?

How would we do this in the most practicable way?

I have 32 +1s at the minute. How many have you got or would like?

Regards

Google Plus One, is another way for google to really judge the authenticity of the Search Engin Result. So the idea is to plus 1 the peoples websites or business pages to further them up your ranking, so next time you search for a word or context referring to their webpage, they will appear further up the Results Page then normal. It's a pretty good thing, but then again it would require lots of google users using the plus one system. :)

At the moment the +1 button has no direct affect on your page rankings BUT indirectly it certainly can. Of course in the future it may have a direct result but I think that may be some time away. It is still a new venture and Google will no doubt play and tweak with it for a while yet.
I've just started to use it. I thought why not give it a go.

Most people i speak to are not taking Google + serious at the moment.

I am still in two minds. Part of me wants to because staying ahead of the game is what it is all about but also i dont want to waste hours on something that is just going to fizzle out.

What i can make of it at the minute is you have to spend hours on setting it up?

We've just hit 207 on our Google plus page and we are beginning to see the benefits.

intheuk is right though as it has no direct relevance to your search results but it does affect the social side (if you like us and your friend search for your page, Google will show that they "+1'd" our page making them more likely to follow over to you.)

It's great for this and the social side is still totally untapped so there's huge potential.

Google + is definitely important, especially if you want to improve your rankings, it may not be the social network that Facebook is, command that following or user base, but when it comes to SEO, Google are going to look favourably on those that have adopted there system. It really doesn't take that long to implement a page for your company, and having the option is better than not.
