Hi All,

I received a letter the other day describing how windmills were invented by Flemish painters as a way of filling in the landscape. Throughout the letter there was no mention of how "amazing" or "revolutionary" their product was, in fact not until the last 2 lines was their company even mentioned. It used humour and intrigue to capture the readers attention and left them wanting to know more... perfect!

Anyone else received a piece of DM recently which caught their attention and wasn't just immediately thrown away?

I keep hold of alot of DM that I recieve - cos i'm sad.

The most recent good one I remember was a small package sent through the post that when opened a pop up cube shot out of. The package opened into a letter with some schpiel about how suprised I will be (see what they did there...) at the companies new improved branches and customer service. Must have cost a fair whack too.

Though not recently I still remember some of the stuff my mum and dad used to get sent from Readers Digest when I was a kid. Things like special coins and medals attached to the mailing. They must have been good if I still remember them 15 odd years on.
