Golf Sim Hire

I'm toying with the idea of offering a home delivered golf simulator rental package in my local area and have a few questions from anyone offering similar services (hot tubs/bouncy castles etc) around:

  • What do you think of the idea?
  • Type of insurance required (guessing public liability and equipment insurance as a minimum?)
  • How you went about the T&C/agreements (taking deposits for damage etc).
Detail wise it should be an easy to transport setup, daytime/overnight hire with a minimal initial outlay (3k tops I estimate). Will be a mid range system, ideally aiming for the 'party market' few guys (or girls) of an evening but wouldn't be too gimmicky to be useful for any budding golfers looking to up their game.

Thanks

I was under the impression it would cost him 3k to buy? If not that is very expensive to hire! I agree that you should try and establish the demand in your area before buying some like this.

Ahh. Quite possibly. In that case it would be interesting to know the daily rate proposed. A 'few' friends might chip in £20 each (or more perhaps) for a night's hire I guess.

How much is the simulator? do you have to buy a van? how much will you charge to hire? just yourself working? etc...Do a business plan and see if worth it. once you have a price on hire you can do some merket research to see if people would be interested. You could perhaps branch out into a couple more things and do corporate/weddings etc?
