Morning all,

I'm interested in starting to offer gift vouchers to our customers but are not really sure how to go about implementing it.

Is it best to get in touch with a voucher solutions company or is there a better more effective way of doing it? Looking forward to hearing some views

My business is a restaurant.

Thanks all

We created and printed our own gift vouchers. There are lots of templates out there, it doesn't take long and saves the pennies too! Once you have the vouchers done, you could setup and implement a number of PayPal buttons on your website aganist each voucher.

If you have a more complex ecommerce setup, you could create a store item (like ours) with a drop down giving the customer a list of what vouchers are available.

Social media is great to distribute vouchers - We use them with our clients on a regular basis.
You can quickly design one on a site called canva for free, its what we use, just pick the predefine size for your socialmedia platform and your good to go.

We also look at the reason for doing a voucher run. Are you looking to get new customers, retain current custom, or use as a sales funnel.

A sales funnel would be where you earn off the back end sale, for instance - "Get A Free glass of Wine With Every Meal" (voucher) - customer comes in to take advantage of offer, offer the rest of the bottle for £xxx - you sold a bottle of wine when you may not have done etc...

In some cases, we have promoted the voucher on social media, piped the potential customer through to the client website (a specific landing page) and had them fill out their email address to have the voucher emailed to them...This means you have captured their details for future marketing and offers - if you look at big brand pubs and eaterys, this is what they do all the time.....its a solid marketing model that works ;)
