Getting New Clients

I have just had 2 clients pause the work I was due to start for another couple of weeks and now I'm struggling a bit to fill this gap.

How do the website designers from this forum go about getting new contracts or more importantly getting the contacts to then turn into contracts.

Hi Chris -

I am not a web designer, but a web marketer and I work in partnership with a web design company.

I always give them my web design projects, and I know they have also been working hard getting on the local enterprise approved list too.

My main way of getting business always has been Networking.

Perhaps you could get yourself around some people like me, and also marketing consultants are another good source of work for me.

Do you have a website - in order to showcase your skills? It's just that you don't have a link to a website...

Also, where are you based? I'm always getting people ask me about design (as I am in marking/communications) so would be happy to pass on your details if my usual guy isn't available.
