Getting error message on HMRC vat management

I am having problems accessing my vat account on HMRC, I can log in o.k. but when i click on manage my vat account or check what payments you have made or make a payment i get the following message:

This site can’t be reached
localhost refused to connect.

Try:

• Checking the connection
• Checking the proxy and the firewall

I tried using a different browser, have disabled firewall etc. have been trying all weekend but just get the same message.

I need to urgently log on to set up a payment plan for the deferred vat from March 2020 1/4 as i believe there is only a short window to set up a payment plan otherwise the full amount needs to be paid by 31st March 2021. I think the cut off date is 18th March, so have a few days. Anyone else having this issue?

We heard that there were issues and the best thing to do is to call up on 0800 024 1222.

Thank you will try that tomorrow if it is still misbehaving. I can access all other area's in my HMRC account like PAYE, just seems strange that I can't access the VAT options.

yes I had that yesterday trying to log into a client's vat account.

Must be doing weekend works or something.

Thanks UK contractor and Rawlinson Pryde reassuring it is not just me, tried again a few minutes ago and still can't get access so will keep on trying.

Quick update, I can now access and manage my vat account and successfully set up a payment plan to pay my deferred vat from last Mar - Jun quarter. If anyone else is having problems hopefully you can now log in and access too.

It's not the first time they have done maintenance on or around the 7th of the month, which is a pain for last minute filers like me!
