As any marketer will tell you, it is getting harder and harder to get attention. The problem is that everyone is doing the same thing. Worse yet, they are all trying to do it as cheaply as possible. It is not working. I have been increasingly advising my clients to do less direct mail, etc and more carefully targeted promotions. One that we've had great success with builds on everyone's anxieties about today's economy. My clients have been giving out "blessings" for prosperity and success.
