German Accountant

Hi

I would like to start selling in Germany. My goods will be stored in Germany which means as a UK resident I will need to register for German VAT. I believe I will need to do Monthly filings for the first 12 to 15 Months and then yearly.

Can anyone recommend me a good German Accountant with experience on eCommerce side.

Where do you want said accountant? In which of the Länder?

Sorry, I have no contacts in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony).

But what you describe is pretty basic and could be done by any German accountant (Steuerberater).

I would, in your case, draft a simple email, outlining your needs, in English (unless you can speak German or have someone to help you) to all the Steierberater that are individual persons and not companies or paternerships (GmbH, KG, etc) in this list of a few hundred

For a monthly fee of £150 they file my German VAT returns and manage all correspondence and paperwork with the German tax department.

Definitely worth the money, and it's one more thing I don't have to worry about each month. All you need to do is send them your sales figures each month and then pay the tax bill when they come back to you with the official return document.
