Anyone ever heard of these guys ?

They sent both me and the wife some documents this morning (both seperately). They have spelt her name wrong and given all wrong past address details, for me they have all my old address details correct and know everything about me ! They obviously are telling us that we are due large sums of money from an investment we didn't make....

I am of course assuming that it's a scam but I can't find them good or bad when googling them and just wondered if anyone else had come across them in the past or is it a new scam.

It's bad enough getting all the spam e-mail I have to deal with without them actually writing to me as well and taking the trouble to find out all my past addresses etc etc....

definately a scam IMO. try companies house for a registered address etc. worrying though. good luck

Ridiculously this appears not to be a scam...

I have phoned the 0800 number as has my wife, it turns out that they are not looking for her but they were looking for me. It was an old pension from a company that I worked for 10 years ago or more with Standard Life. Since posting the first post I talked to my parents who had the same letter 6 weeks ago and have since cashed a cheque for £2,500 from a Standard Life policy.

Apparently Standard Life turned in a PLC in 2006 and old policies were converted into shares which they are trying to reunite with their rightful owners.

Guess I am just cynical from the 12 million spam messages I get everyday !

Worse still I nearly phoned them just to tell them what I thought of them.... The only thing that stopped me was the thought that somehow they had the 0800 number rigged up to a £1000 minute premium rate service !!
