Geographical number questions

Hi there.

I used to use numberstore for an 0845 number but I don't use the number any more and now need a London 020 number. I don't think that numberstore offer exactly what I'm looking for either, although they offered a good service.

Can anyone recommend a company which would offer the following:

1. An 020 number (preferably 0207 but 0203 would be ok too).
2. Ability for that number to be redirected to Skype or their own VOIP service.
3. Ability to easily dial out on that number so my customers see my 020 number on their phone rather than the number I am dialling from.
4. Perhaps an app for my Android phone so I can make calls when away from home, using my data allowance.

Many thanks.

Hi Pusspuss,

Please check out Orbit (can't post links, will have to google Orbit Unified Communications) sounds like it could be ideal for you. Orbit is exclusive to Intercity in the UK so would be happy to have a chat with you if you feel it would suit!

Hello,

Indeed, based on what you mentioned, VoIP is the best solution.

You can either
- get the UK number (0203) alone, but with no features included, meaning you pay what you use
OR
- get a solution like the Hosted PBX and get more out of the service

With the UK number alone, there are no additional perks. By adding other features, the costs rise as well and you might end up paying more for a service you can actually get at a lower price and with more benefits.

The Hosted PBX is the recommended option because even the basic plan includes 1 phone number, 1 E-Fax number, IVR (with proffesional recording), landline and mobile minutes, plenty enhanced features and webhosting.
You can use the service with either a Softphone or an IP Phone and redirect the calls as needed.

I can provide more info if needed, just PM me :)

You can decide by taking in count service price vs. benefits and test the quality via free trials (respectable companies often show confidence in their service by giving customers the opportunity to test the service before making a decision).

The bottom line is: choose what works for you.

A lovely day to all! :)
