Gaming Parties

One of our local cafes has an upstairs space which is underused. Since there is zero for kids in our town to do, we've been banding around the idea of maybe using the space for a 'pop up' gaming centre - anyone got any experience of running this kind of venture and maybe developing it into parties after testing the market.

All comments appreciated :)

DBS requirements, H&S, insurance, appointed First Responder (first aid), possibly planning permission and building control approval.

Researching that lot will keep you busy for a while, none of it really matters and everything will be fine, until something happens and someone gets hurt.

A wargames club? A board games club? Mix of the two? Recreation of the Battle of Orks Drift?
Roleplaying games?

Whichever adults are involved anywhere near the kids - will they be checked regarding offences? What sort of child protection policy will be in place?

Clubs with kids / teens can be great, expect some issues regarding responsibility.
