Games are on there way...FINALLY!

It seems like today is a YES for some of the members here so I thought I would join in the celebrations!

After almost 12 months, 3 career card games are on their way now. That's 9,000 decks of games packaged and ready for display on the shelves.

Am so excited.

Marketing campaign is to get them into Waterstones and Borders in the career section, they don't have many games there but it is used as a resource too so will be getting into regular touch with the buyers at those stores.

Launch will be in the Science Museum shop as soon as a date is arranged with them...yippee.

How did you go about getting into Science Museum shop?

I am looking at stockists at the moment - had a great chat with Amazon this afternoon and hopefully should be on board with them in the next month.

Well, until they are on the shelves I will stay focused.

The other games that I sell on my website belong to other self publishers.

As for getting the games into retail, it was surprisingly straightforward with the Science Musuem. I just filled an online form to invite them to look at my games and I had a phone call from them a few weeks later to ask to review them all.

They then told me the ones that worked commercially and the changes that should be made for them.

To get them into the major chains I will be using a different tac. With them I will start by finding out who the buyer is and send them an initial letter.

Then a press release will be sent to them each week. If after a month I don't hear anything I will give them a call until I get through and start the process again.

I am going to capitalise fully on the current climate as the career cards are very relevant to current news.
