Hi all, I am new to the forum and I am currently running a small cleaning business with my family, I have been thinking lately how to go about getting work cleaning windows for mega stores in my area such as asda, tescos ect.. Is it possible to ask for the stores managers details and put a quote in ??

depends on the store, most are run from head office (Tesco are, they have one company doing them all under the tesco contractors brand) and some are managed by the stores locallt e.g. 7 house of frasier stores near me all use one company

you would need to find out from each store individually.

you dont want to grow too quick either.

The danger with a company like asda is they might not pay you for 90 days. So can you afford to bankroll say [conservative] 90 cleaning staff for regional stores? you would need deep pockets.

Supermarkets tend not to do things in small measures, they like using supplies who can supply all their stores.

you need to ensure that you can finance your growth and taking on big contracts too soon is going to stretch you too far.

local authority might be a better bet as your will be confined to one geographic area.they will pay without any concerns and contract will be secured for the whole financial year.

But slow and steady growth is probably best for a business like this, acquire steady business, reinvest profits in expansion. you can grow faster if you have investment.
