Can a director change there wage from dividend to paye and then claim the Furlough scheme.
Struggling on the director salary now and going back to work properly in the company now so if i need to furlough over the christmas and jan period would i be able to claim for furlough for that 6 weeks?

Of course they can change their income how they want.
And yes claim furlough for a period of time. However company would get money based on wages figure as at 30th October.
The company would be paying any other increased wages without government.

I wonder how many directors had the foresight to see this coming and upped their wages a few months ago?

It seems from the guidance released today on the .gov.uk website that it all depends if you were eligible for support in the previous system ie. employed on the 20th March. If you were then the amount you can claim is no different that previously. If you were employed since 20th March, your pay is based on average since start of employment or your salary as at 30th October. This is devastating for my business, as many of my staff have changed rolls internally, gone from Part Time to full time but now can't claim any extra furlough - it doesn't seem well thought out sadly...

No. The furlough claim is based on the October (or earlier) RTI

I don't think that is the case, but the guidance will not be issued until 10 November, so nobody knows.
