Funny one cannot access windows live log in and not sure on what to check next

It has started happening sometime over the xmas period

It is local to my laptop

I have tried different routers and the result is the same
It happens with all browsers

I have tried clearing cookies etc

It does not work if I go to the site directly or via google - I get a web page not available etc after a period of trying to find/load it

Other internet access seems fine

Has anyone any ideas on what I can look into next

Page,

I use Linux so my advice is limited to that but I would recommend making sure JavaScript and third-party cookies are enabled in your browser. I had a look at the Live Login page and it is essentially a list of scripts being loaded from other places, like gfx.ms

Furthermore, you should check, just in case, that SSL&TLS are enabled as it is probably a certificate issue (http://productforums.google.com/for.../chrome/RkzXz5sXThU#!topic/chrome/RkzXz5sXThU)

Keep us posted

it happens with all browsers, so it isnt likely to be a browser misconfiguration.

are any other devices in your household affected? i know you said that it is local to your laptop, slightly confused as to what you mean.

have you tried another internet connection? you said different routers, im not if you mean other connections or literally other routers.

It sounds like something affecting local DNS on your laptop. Stopping you resolving live.com
It could be a virus that's affecting your DNS as i've seen a few that affect logging on to sites

I would suggest running malwarebytes. You can download this free from their website.Run a full scan.

What happens when you try and resolve the site ? Do you get a 404 page cannot be displayed or a white page?
