I'm due to fly out to Dublin next month, looking up travel advice and the term 'Fully Vaccinated' keeps popping up.

I can't see anywhere if this means two jabs or three. I've had two and have no problem with getting the third, only time constraints have stopped me from doing so.

Our closest centre is quite a distance so it would mean losing a good few hours.

Will two be enough or should I get the third?

Fully vaccinated now means 3 jabs, with the 3rd being at least 14 days ago.

Its definitely worth while - I'm fully vaccinated and so that means even though my partner who I live with is currently awaiting a PCR result, I don't need to self isolate but instead I can just do daily lateral flows. Conversely, my ex wife is not fully vaccinated (2 jabs) and is currently isolating because her partner has tested positive.
These are Scottish rules so of course it may be slightly different for you.

In England 2 jabs is sufficient, booster requested by Gov for their reasons but I know of no areas refusing travel if the booster has not been done.

Of more importance is getting the individual tests to show you are fit to fly, lateral flow or PCR, but these cannot be self done.

We made allsorts of plans to get into Greece only to find that we had to do just the 2 day test when we got home
The standardization of the EU is not all that standard we are lucky we have our country back and we can make our own travel rules :)???

This was my understanding also from reading countless pages online, it would appear that in England and Ireland, 2 jabs is considered fully vaccinated. Which makes zero sense to me when the booster is being pushed the way it is, surely 2 jabs would be partially vaccinated? Thank god the rule-makers know best

Thanks, MBE. I found mixed info on testing as well, but from what I can make out from MikeJ's link below, no tests are necessary to enter Ireland if you're all jabbed up. (Unless of course it changes in the meantime).

Unless you are a famous tennis player - then you may do anything you want.
That wouldn't be Novax Djokovic, would it? ?

What Ireland considers as fully vaccinated is around halfway down this page...

I can't thank you enough, Mike, all the info I needed clear as day, I'm rather embarrassed I didn't see this myself, but I did look, honest! Most helpful, thank you.

Honestly, the thought of going abroad stresses me out with the different rules everywhere. I've got two weeks in Turkey booked for August, whether I make it not remains to be seen ?

I went to Tenerife just before Christmas, and while it was a bit of a pain with passenger locator forms, showing vax status and having to do a test to get back into the UK, it wasn't too bad really. If you're organised, then its all manageable.
The worst bit about it was waiting on results from the self-administered PCR test on arrival home. I think mine took about 4 days to come back.
