Friend won’t tell me his business, Unless i try it.

Root 66 Woodshop

@STDFR33 and all you other non-believers... :D Sooo... the guy's a little bit nuts, a little bit thick and somewhat of a gullible troll too... who just so happens to have £1600 which again just so happens to be enough to buy this crazyass machine direct from the suppliers at wait for it... £1600!!

What an absolute bargain! Normally I'd tell the OP to back off and save his money... but no this time I'll refrain from doing so... tis quite easily all these other poor hard working folk that have obviously no idea what they're talking about with the facts that the OP have given him!

1. It is not a scam - obviously!
2. It is a magical machine that churns out real cash every month!
3. You're all ludicrously stupid innit!
4. This "FRIEND" will help him set it all up and WILL NOT take his money and p1ss it up a drain!

This is a true loyal friend you have who has already borrowed your money and is yet to pay it back, but is quite happy to help you spend more... what a true friend he really is...

Gawd I wish I had a friend just like that! I'd be in heaven right now... innit!

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

If it's a bitcoin mining rig, he's very very unlikely to be making the money he claims. It's becoming harder and harder for very experienced miners to make good profit, even in perfect locations. A kid in his bedroom is going to struggle. He's also going to get grounded when his parents receive their electric bill.

Nobody here’s said why it won’t work, If he is genuine.

It will work for a short period. The value of bitcoin is being propped up by dreamers and scammers

Once it is regulated, or the pot of dreamers runs out it will crash.

It's up to you if you're prepared to hand over money to someone who has already fleeced you to prop up their dream

2 reasons for that. Nobody here believes he is genuine and nobody here has the slightest idea what IT is. That's why EVERYBODY here thinks it won't work for you.

    I am not a troll.

He only started a few months back

I can’t ask in lieu as I’ve written it off.
He said he may buy me one but now now In a few years

Nobody here’s said why it won’t work, If he is genuine.

    He is not genuine.

It is beyond unwise to undertake to invest until you have full disclosure of what you are investing in.

Most of the people commenting on here are experienced business people. It really is as simple as my paragraph above. You are being scammed.

    "I've ordered a credit card of 1600"
"My magic machine coincidentally only costs 1600 now, give me the money"

    Assuming it's cryptocurrency mining either:
a - your friend really is making a profit and wants you to get in on it
b - your friend's exaggerating profits/misleading you for kicks and giggles
c - your friend can get the equipment cheaper and is just skimming off the top
    d - other

I asked him I have £1600 and now it cost £1600

He said, he ordered today and if I don’t believe can show me. If I dont want to do it, its up to me,

It’s not exactly 1600 they only accept bitcoin cash and need to convert it, which cost money but still cheaper then 3000

He’s not doing it for him he’s doing it for me, he said

Mark t Jones - so it will work?, it’s not long term for me anyway

Totalwebsoultions – he was gona do a auto trader in a different country people messed him about.

Newchodge – everyone here knows what it is now, bitcoin mining

Paul Norman – I know what I’m investing in a bitcoin mining machine he will set it all up

Alluphere – thank you I am listing

On a slightly separate note, if someone set a bitcoin mining machine up for you and you left it running 24 hrs a day, they set up wallet etc., its bound to make a profit, if not why not and if it doesn’t always sell it on eBay

Also he always said i will get back more money once his business do well as i helped him out, then once he did say he wont pay me any more money back he owed because i am always negativity, i deserve to lose it.

Afterwards he denied that and said he was just saying it because i said something i shouldn't have said

Bitcoin mining is not really the license to print money that your 'friend' makes out it is. You may be able to make about £100 a month tops, if you buy a really good machine, such as the latest Antminer. But that will only last as long as the Bitcoin bubble stays up in the air!

Remember that these Utopian calculations for profitability are based on US electricity costs - UK costs are roughly twice as high!

He’s finnally told me, because I told him ive orders a credit card for 1600 and will start spending the money, unless he tells me (this is true)

Your right it’s a bitcoin mining machine

He now says he can get it direct from manufacture for 1600, and can also show me money he’s made, he also says he will help me set up everything(wallet etc), he’s also buying more.

Unlike before I actull feel like buying it, I can’t see a catch?, as he will help me set everything up.

The catch is when his parents find out why the electricity bill is so high and he has to pay for it.

****** mining depending which coin you choose can be profitable. Usually you will cover your original investment after say 9-12months, after that it is profit. The profit varies depending on the coin and how difficult it is to mine and the cost of electricity.

You should do some research on how profitable it currently is and then decide yourself. There will be extra costs in the future to repair the machines.

Take the machine in lieu of the debt - which he is never going to repay (despite bringing in millions from his machine)

Take your bitcoins and be sure to trade them in within 6 months. It's a bubble and it will burst

People have been calling bitcoin a bubble for years. It continues to rise and even if the "bubble" does burst, it will surpass the ATH later.

So going back a step... you previously lent him £3k which you have had to write off, now he has a new business making money and your giving him £1600 for a machine (which he claims to have ordered) to make money too?

If he is a friend, and making money, i would have assumed his first thing would have been to repay a friend what he is owed.

Lets not beat about the bush - your not going to make money, your about to throw £1600 away.

    Stop.

Clearaccy - How much would the electricity bill cos for one bitcoin mining machine running 24 hours a day I have tried google but can’t find it

Also is £1600 to expensive for equipment

So it will make money eventually?

Ursicles – I wrote of some of it so he would paid back the rest, as he kept stalling.

    Do some research on costs.

Will it make money eventually, probably, but no guarantees in life. I have a friend who has more than quadrupled his money in bitcoin in the last year, he cashed out his investment six months ago, so worst case he loses nothing.

You can make money on bitcoin by simply buying Bitcoins, whilst it continues to rise. No need for a mining rig, there are so many a single computer is unlikely to do much.

I am amazed how so people, they apparently have business who makes so money but they refuse to give details anybody. If no one knows about it how can you make money? Do you think the brand out there are so popular and making lots money because they hidden or because they are in our face all the time

Search bitcoin mining profitability on google and i'm sure you'll find something.
    Electricity charges are different everywhere.

Something to do with bitcoin mining would be my only guess but I kinda assumed its all a bit of a scam. I see sponsored every day for bitcoin at the moment but surely if it's as good as advertised, the money spent advertising would be better spent mining :S

Most of the facebook adverts you see are usually for altcoins and most of them are scams.

He now said it’s silly idea not to buy it
Electricity would cost 1000 a year but I would make 5000 a year he says.
He says he would feel guilty if he was making lots and I misssed out.

Then afterwards he said I mite buy you one in a years time then.
