Freight Forwarding Business

Hi All,

Just wanted to see if there are any experienced people out there who work for freight forwarders, who have ever considered starting up themselves?

Has anyone ever taken the next step and gone further? How did you get on?

This is a very good business to get into at the moment but you need to have a decent amount of experience and international knowledge.

We actually do some forwarding but we cherry pick the work

I’m struggling to find a forum where other forwarders/like minded logistics people converse.

If I was looking to start with someone who had similar ideas, where would be the best place to start?

Just for info. I have worked in the industry for over 10 years. Just don’t know many other people in a similar place as I am.

Actually, it is very challenging because you have to taking care the shipment from customer/clients and timeline of delivery. Lastly, if the parcel has received by right recipient.

There is no forum !
Like lawyers and doctors ect ect It is not a trade you can "play at " You have to know what you are doing before you start up . I know you have the experience but this is a wealth warning to those that are just reading
No one is going to die Nobody is going to jail but it is a very serious business where mistakes can cost you all your money
