I do not teach lifecoaching i am learning how to be a lifecoach and need to practice on clients so that i can get my diploma

i have heard from many people who are interested in training to be a lifecoach. There are many courses around that do this sort of thing . I am not sure which country you are from, as i know some countries do not embrace this sort of thing as much as other countries such as the US and UK.

If you have courses then i would select one and go for it - just do it - if you want to. if you are not sure i would recommend that you get a lifecoaching session done and that will give you experience in what it is all about so that you can make a decision on what it is really all about.

What type of person are you looking to coach? Women looking to make a life transition? People who have been made redundant and thinking about a career change?

Is there is a specific person or are you just coaching anyone right now?

Maybe if you can list some of the ways you can support people through coaching that will help people decide if you can help them. Also if you try personal growth/self help forums you might find people looking to make a life change who will be more receptive.

yes i probably assumed everyone knows what Lifecoaching means , wrong assumption.

At the moment i do not have a niche market i am targetting, i am just looking to finish my required number of hours to achieve my diploma.

I have posted to a well being forum and not having much luck, however started to get a bit more luck with friends of friends.

I must admitt it is very interesting and have learnt that people don't value something for free

That is definitely a great lesson - people don't value free or low cost - so go out there and be a premium life coach because if you are going to work hard to get noticed you may as well get paid well !!!

I think people are sceptical about things offered for free - we are told that 'nothing in life is' and we do seem to be 'looking for the catch' so don't get too upset, also this is a business forum and people may be working (as I should be - shh) and feel that whilst they might really benefit from the service that you offer they simply haven't time.

There will also be a percentage of people who do not know what Life Coaching is, what is involved or how it can help, why not give an explanation here.
Life Coaching may mean different things to different people so why not provide your interpretation and I am sure this will provoke a response.

I understand your reasons for offering to do this for free - I have been in a similar situation many moons ago in order to gain a qualification (not related to life coaching).
