Hi everyone,
I have been looking for project management software for my business and really like the BaseCamp product, but when you add in CampFire and maybe even HighRise in the future it is expensive. So have been looking at dotProject as an alternative, we have good IT person to do the install etc so not too worried about that element. The interface is not as nice however and it is expensive.
Was wondering had anyone been researching this area before and found any nice alternatives. I will prob go with the dotProject but was wondering was there a better alternative that i had missed?
All help appreciated.
Cheers.

Hi,

You can also go for some web based project management softwares like zoho, assana, proofhub, podio. By using them you wont have to waste time and energy in installation. I being a freelancer also use a web based project management software named proofhub and it solves all my purpose. So you can also try them see if they suit your needs or not.

I have used many a tool but to me proofhub seems to be the best alternative to basecamp. I am using this tool for the past 2 months and this tool has made my work a lot easier.

Hi, we ended up going for BaseCamp and ZoHo in the end. Use BaseCamp for discussing project internal and external and use ZoHo for task management and project management. I know zoho can do what basecamp can, but BC is so easy to use it is really hard to drop it now. 2 great tools and not too $$ either.
