I've been asking around if anyone tried to let prospects start a live chat(by text on computer) with you directly from email right away, by clicking a link, instead of scheduling phone calls or waiting for an email response for any quick questions they may have. That's because:
1) If they are somehow interested, they prefer a quick answer. They can start the chat right after they receive the email, without having to wait for a phone convo or email response. You can escalate later for a call.
2) People are not talking on the phone with every stranger for so many reasons. So giving a less intrusive and instant way to communicate, you remove a lot of friction
3) You can close the leads during conversation. They are already in front of the computer, you can persuade and send a lead form right away for completion.
4) People become more and more used to chat lately
An example of how to use is: Instead of "are you free for a phone call on Monday", you can say "are you free for a phone call on Monday or if you prefer, a quick chat right now, I'm usually online during working hours"
or something like: "Here's my chat page, I'll be answering your questions right now"
...anyway you think it works better for your demo.
I have an outbound live chat tool that I built to accomplish this and I want to know if other people are interested in this approach.
