Florist News Forum

Is anyone on here a member of Florist News Forum? I could do with getting a message across to their members about free advertising.

PM me if you'd rather not say on here.

Cheers Guys :) x

Hi Lisa ... We're not actually selling anything ... Yes I know it sounds a bit mad

I just wanted this email posting on the Florist Forum :)

The Tilly Ba Lou blog is almost ready for launch. The blog is totally separate from our website and is a personal project of my own. There will be a complete page dedicated to listing Florists who have a physical shop as well as an online store.

A full listing on this page is completely FREE of charge and you DO NOT have to be a Tilly Ba Lou stockist. If you would like a listing please send an email with the following info to [email protected]

1. A link to your website

2. We need to use an image of your shop inside or out … and an image of your work … if you have a preference please attach as small files otherwise we’ll select them for you from your website.

3. Your full address

4. A very brief few words about your business. In order to improve your own websites ranking use keywords (anchor text) from your homepage.

Kindest Regards
Denise x

I haven't received anything, but it's only £10.00 to become a member.

I'd be really grateful if you'd post the message below in the marketing section for me ...

I was a fully £50 paid up member but was banned because a handful of members thought it would be fun to keep trying to wind me up. A lot of the members were really looking forward to the blog though ;) x

No worries. It's unlikely they will pick it up (Google Search / Google Alerts) but I'd imagine they might get a little upset about someone trying to get an ad in by the back door - especially by (for whatever reason) a banned member.

Ahhhh ... Get you now :D ... It's not really an ad but more something that will benefit their members ...

If this causes Admin on here a problem then please feel free to delete (sorry I know you don't need my permission to do that  ) ...

If it causes FN a problem ... I never did quite understand all the hoohaa so it will simply remain one helluva mystery  .... Life's too short an all that :D x

As Maid Marion says, just florists, florist students and some wholesalers

As to trying to get back onto florist news, (yes, I am a member there) I dont think you will for a while at least. I saw you had logged in again after you were banned (rightly or wrongly, that has no bearing on this forum) and your initial post seemed to me, at least to be openly challenging. In fact I asked you why you had registered again after your banning.
I had no other dialogue with you at all on florist news or anywhere else, but did find your constant SEO and blogging posts to be irritating and very know all, when in fact you were just rehashing what you had learnt on here. Yes, you did have other posts, but the majority were in my opinion, in the promotion of your products and company, and went against the grain of what florist news is all about.
One good thing that did come about from all the friction on florist news was the birth of a new florist forum where hopefully the members will be more like minded and florist orientated.
I did look at this thread previously and was going to keep my comments to myself, but having seen your other threads on here about threatening to name and shame florists through your blog, I felt compelled to answer you. If anyone was silly enoughto put your message up in a post on florist news, I think you would be doing them a disservice.

Hi Floralpride and thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak out in the open. Unfortunately the damage to my business was done by PM, email and Facebook by members of FN. I had no way of knowing who had been fed what lies about me and my business and as such no way of clearing my name.

Yet again my words are being twisted Floralpride. I do have a media story about a Facebook Witch Hunt and more. It would clear my name once and for all in an instant but, as I keep trying to explain, it would damage the reputation of others, which is something I have no desire to do.

There were 20 FN members involved in that FB page … can I suggest that they all re-group somewhere like FB (this time preferably on a Private wall) and agree to either just let this whole thing go, or preferably to put right the damage that they have done to my business. As far as I’m aware Floralpride you were not one of the members, although there were 2 I wasn’t sure about.

I was signed up to FN as a WHOLESALE TRADE MEMBER at a cost of £50. This entitled me to promote my business over there.

The ban when it came (and I knew it would) was a lifetime ban and I rejoined to openly ask whether I could have a copy of some posts I had written which had since been deleted. Although I expected the ban I didn’t expect to lose 2 months worth of work at the same time.

Out of 200 posts over there, I wrote 5 or 6 about blogging and SEO … some members were genuinely interested … if you weren’t then you didn’t have to look at them. I was totally honest about where and how I was learning about SEO and I even put links back to this forum.

I’m glad your forum is now a better place for its members. I’m not so glad that (as I suspected) as Maid Marion has pointed out, I was banned because I upset The Monkey.

Back to the opening post on here … hopefully FN members who are interested in a free advertising platform will find out by other means.

Denise :)

Tilly i read what was said about you on the facebook scenario, that you copied and pasted onto FN which got you the ban (I THINK)
And your business name wasnt mentioned, so how did it leave your buisness with a bad rep ect:|

Hi floral pride nice to see you :)

Hi again MM … I had hoped that in the interest of protecting your friends if nothing else, you could have seen your way collectively to letting this go. I didn’t expect that you would try to undo the damage you did to my name and I don’t just mean on that FB wall.

As to your FB wall question … an entire quote was lifted off my website and posted on your PUBLIC FB wall by one of your high profile members/friends.

I’m asking again nicely can we please let this drop

Denise :)
